Between May 3, 2022 - May 7, 2022, 10 students accompanied by 2 teachers carried out activities at the Instituto Instrutione Superiore Abraham Lincoln, Enna, Italy. Activities were diverse: socialization exercises on the first day, assistance in lessons/interaction in lessons - Spanish, English, Italian, mathematics, history, biology; practical activities in the agrarian laboratory: information about soil cultivation/fertilization, practical activity of cultivating some plants used as spices in everyday life (basil, parsley, onion), tasting some typical Sicilian products - Ricotta, Tuma or Toma - a typical Sicilian cheese - a stage in the production of Pecorino cheese, which comes before adding salt, orange jam, produced in the host school, natural apricot juice; cultural/intercultural activity - visiting some places/cultural objectives that define the history of Italy, but especially of Sicily such as: Aci Trezza and Aci Castello, Villa Romana del Casale (Piazza Armerina) - UNESCO world heritage, Agira - Basilica San Filippo, Basilica San Antonio di Padua and the Church of San Salvatore; Assoro and Leonforte (the old Tabas or Tavaca settlement was in the approximate location of Leonforte). During the Byzantine period of Sicily, and later under the Muslim Emirate of Sicily, a castle was built with a farm nearby. Irrigation systems were introduced and many mills took advantage of the abundance of water., Taormina - Greek theater, Duomo di Taormina, piazza del Duomo, Catania cathedral. The activities carried out focused on the development of linguistic and digital skills, education for the environment, education for active citizenship, interculturality.
